"Once we have a war there is only one thing to do. It must be won. For defeat brings worse things than any that can ever happen in war." ~ Hemingway

While over at Sarge Charlie's page, I read a post where he stated that his friend and fellow blogger Sgt. Dub was up on a soapbox today. Sgt Dub is serving his second tour of duty in Afghanistan right now as a member of the Oklahoma National Guard. When he isn't serving his country overseas he's a police officer back home so he has not one, but two, very noble professions.

I went over to his page to see what sort of soapbox the Sarge had climbed up on and I've got to say that it was enough to make me stand up from my computer desk and applaud. I urge you to link over to his page and read the whole post but if you can't do that then at least read the following excerpt:

"If you truly support the troops, then tell your Congress representatives to give us what we need to win! Failure is not a viable option and makes the lives we've lost so far meaningless. Those lives from 9/11, from Afghanistan, from Iraq have meaning, that meaning is Freedom."
Well said, Sgt Dub, well said.

  1. Thank you, again, sorry i picked a fight here on your site, i could not let it pass.

  2. Since my apology was covered up with your heading, again i am sorry that i picked a fight on your site.

  3. No apologies are necessary, Sarge, none at all. We all have our opinions on the war and on politics and I think we need to be able to express them.

What's important is that whether or not we like this war, we need to support our troops that are over there fighting it. That's the bottom line!

Thanks for visiting!
