Amanda recently decided to try her hand at drawing a comic strip of sorts and even though you might not get the humor in it unless you're a 14-year old girl (or live with one!), I still think she did a pretty good job drawing it! If you click on the drawing, it will take you to a bigger version where you can read the text - which, again, might not make any sense but we probably all know what it's like to get something stuck in a vending machine when it was our last bit of change!
I love the comic, great work!
ReplyDeleteAmanda could have a future there! Great drawing.
ReplyDeleteWell, you're right about it not making any sense because I'm a L-O-N-G way from 14, BUT (here's the important part), the drawing is superb! The imagination, artwork, and the effort all make it great. Keep up the good work, Amanda!
ReplyDeleteYou know what-that's really good!! She's got talent.
ReplyDeletecool kid there miss linda, maybe mama had something to do with that.
ReplyDeleteFunny.. I didn't recognize the cartoonist and was looking to see who it was! Amazingly talented!
ReplyDeleteYour daughter's comic brought me right back to being a 14 year old girl! The agony of no quarter to borrow, forcing you to get the lowbrow snack...and then - OH THE INJUSTICE! - the snack getting stuck in the machine! I can still taste the disappointment as if it were yesterday...
ReplyDeletegreat job, might I suggest a weekly installment?
ReplyDeleteShe's very creative. I love the cute cartoon. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAmanda has excellent artwork skills. Let her keep practising her style.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone for your kind comments - Amanda has been enjoying every one of them and they have been making her feel good despite her nasty sore throat!
ReplyDeleteKaren - you hit it right on the head and I know exactly what you mean about tasting the disappointment of your snack getting stuck because you sure can't taste the snack!
As for a weekly installment, I think she might be open to that and I think it's an excellent suggestion!
That girl's got skills! :)
ReplyDeleteI love it.
Keep it up, kiddo!!! You've got great skills, your individualized sense of characters, your shading is great, sense of detail is very good...make sure you keep it up in school or you'll kick yourself later in life (speaking from experience!).
ReplyDeletehey! i'm old and i get it! maybe the mind starts to go backwards and i am fourteen again? ha ha ha
ReplyDeleteshe did a wonderful job!
smiles, bee
