This one needs an explanation ... taken sometime in 1986 (my feeble mind forgets exactly when) when my dispatch team was being broken up due to seniority bids in the Command Center at the Stockton Police Department.
For those who read regularly, my good friend Miz Cyn is the one on the left in the snazzy sweater (she was pregnant with her third child) and I would be the one in the middle with the, er, 80's hair. The others are Chris with her arm around my shoulder, Kathy to my right, and Dianne down by the cake.
We were quite the team and I hated going to another shift and leaving these people behind. Matter of fact, it was the beginning of the end for my time at SPD. Just goes to show that the old adage of "if it ain't broke don't fix it" really rings true.
Oh, and for the record, I thought I was FAT in this picture. Sigh ... to be that size now!
Sigh-we were so young! "Indeed; the Last Ride of Linda/Cyn and OUR Immortals" (with apologies to Doc Holladay/Val Kilmer and to whomever wrote the dialog in "Tombstone").
Great photos. I thought I was fat in those days too.. litlle did I know what I could gain by stopping smoking! Photos do bring back happy memories. Happy WW
I just had that feeling it was going to be from the old days. Oh how I miss them. My kids were just born and at that time I only lived an hour from you. I lived in Placerville. have a great WW friend. Love the picture.
Oh, I know exactly how you feel about the people you work with. Sometimes, you just get the right mix of people and things just click - work isn't so bad then. *smile*
Not participating in WW this week... You thought you were fat? Why do all of us women do that. You are not fat in the photograph. You look very skinny to me. What a nice shot of a group of friends. Too bad that had to mess with something that wasn't broken. They broke it!!! Have a happy WW. :)
