Now to this week's question which is going to be a quick one due to time constraints based on my work schedule and the need for sleep versus blogging! As some of you might have noticed, the contest that I've been having for the "Death Eating a Cracker" coffee mug closes tomorrow night at midnight (if you haven't entered yet, you've still got time to win a fantastic prize!) and while I was sitting at work having a cup of coffee out of my own Amanda-designed coffee mug, I got to wondering what people preferred as their beverage of choice. So, this week's burning question is:
Which do you prefer - tea or coffee? Or something completely different?

If by any chance I've asked this one in the past I beg forgiveness and chalk it up to old age and brain that can't remember much of anything anymore! Especially after working way too many hours in a row!

Well here's my complicated answer.
ReplyDeleteIn the winter, my morning drink is coffee. But in the summer I give up coffee and drink Diet Pepsi in the morning for the caffeine.
If it's hot, I've gotta have hot chocolate. I've tried coffee a few times and I just can't drink it regularly. For my caffeine fix I'm really into Coke Zero. It comes in Cherry and Vanilla flavors too, which is nice for variety! :)
ReplyDeleteAlcohol-wise.. I love me some Margaritas and Mudslides. yum!
I have a heart condition that doesn't allow me to have caffiene any more.
ReplyDeleteCaffeine Free Dr Pepper for me any time, all the time!!
Morning two cups of fresh ground coffee. Herb tea at night. Full formal English tea with sandwiches, scones, and goodies (usually darjeerling) once a month.
ReplyDeleteWell, being as I live in the south we drink "sweet tea"...LOTS of it. :)
ReplyDeleteI fancy coffee in the am, though.
I am most definitely a "coffeeholic" - no day begins without a fresh pot of java and at least two cups of that stuff. I usually have a pot of coffee going throughout the entire day too although I frequently forgo coffee at supper and have iced tea. Once in a while, in the evening, my daughter likes to have a nice hot cup of tea and she'll fix me a cup too! Nice to have such a sweet thoughtful kid around ya know!
ReplyDeleteI mix and match throughout the day. I never used to drink either, but office works seems to make them neccesary.
ReplyDeleteCoffee, coffee and more coffee. But I can only have one cup in the a.m. I drink water until late afternoon and then drink diet pepsi strawberry creme. In winter, I'll drink hot tea (love Chai spice or green tea).
ReplyDeleteBack in the dark ages, at work, I'd drink black coffee and smoke cigarettes all the day long...
Iced Coffee for me - all year long! Love the looks I get @ Dunkin' Donuts when I order one in February (I live/work in New England). "Mrs. Bulldog" won't touch coffee (hot or cold) w/a 10 foot pole, but she LOVES her tea! One thing we do agree on is that we both like the aroma of coffee.
ReplyDeleteWell...I have coffee almost every morning but I do love tea too...so...it's a toss up.
ReplyDeleteI don't drink coffee at all. I think it's a bad habit to get into, so it's got to be tea. Even though I don't drink that much either.
ReplyDeleteI'm not addicted to either, but I'd prefer tea :) Coffee makes your urine smells like it :)
ReplyDeletecoffee and iced tea, Thank you for sharing your friend with us.
ReplyDeleteTea for sure, but then I am English. Then again I live France and have learned to love coffee, more for when I'm tired, hung over or after dinner.
ReplyDeleteThough England is supposed to be a nation of tea drinkers, I much prefer coffee.
ReplyDeleteI prefer coffee more at least in the AM. I drank more at my last job because the company offered Green Mountain K-Cups, single serving, which were nice. Sambuca or Grand Marnier is a nice addition...Except when I had the worst effects of the colitis, tea was much more soothing...
ReplyDeleteCoffee hands down. I like tea, but seldom drink it. I love Japanese green tea, but only have that with Japanese food. So, I can hardly wait for my fresh brewed coffee every morning. Another great time for coffee is after a yummy dinner out. That is always such great coffee. Get some rest. I know what long hours you folks at the console put in... :)
ReplyDeleteI dry gallons of both, but at different times of the day. Have to have the right one at the right time.
ReplyDeleteCheers
Coffee. Hot and black, please, and no "flavors."
ReplyDeleteI've cut back some in recent times, but I still carry my gallon jug with me in the morning, just to get my heart started again....
Tea is something I drink if I'm ill. I hardly ever have it otherwise, although I threaten to have ice tea in the summer... just never seem to get around to it.
And there's a question back at you: How come ice tea seems entirely appropriate but iced coffee seems so wrong? (And it still seems wrong to me, even though I know some of your commenters say they actually like the stuff....)
Coffee all the way - strong and black! And I know it will taste great in my new 'Death' mug, hehe :-)
ReplyDeleteTea ffirst thing then I try to limit the coffe!
ReplyDeleteWell, Linda as you well know from working so many hours with me... I love my coffee!
ReplyDeleteHowever, as you also know I have been on a Vanilla Chai from D&D kick lately ...YUM!
Probably not too good for the waistline though!
