Energy drinks are pretty popular with teens these days but Amanda seems to be particularly partial to Monster and when I brought her home one of the new java ones she went totally crazy as it was the perfect combination of her beloved coffee and her favorite energy drink. Who knew? Now she asks for one anytime I'm going to the local Cumberland Farms but I try to limit her intake. After all, there is such a thing as too much of a good thing - especially when it comes to energy drinks and hyper teens!
Maybe now that the cans are immortalized on my blog she'll let me put them in the recycling bin this weekend. After all, she has the tabs on a necklace already along with the tabs of other Monsters that she's had.
Teenagers ... I just don't get it sometimes! But then again, I've never had the guts to try one of these things. Hmm ... maybe one of these days when I can't seem to kick-start my behind to work in the morning I could try a seeing what a Monster can do for me. If I end up totally strung out and bouncing off the walls it could make for a great post!
Everyone have a great Saturday and happy hunting! Don't forget to visit TNChick to find more great photo hunters or to join in the fun!
i am oh so glad not to have any more teens, but i thought when they were adults it would be easier. sigh... you'll see. (sorry) ha ha ha
ReplyDeletesmiles, bee
i think that's a great idea to decorate the house with them :) Have a great Saturday. Great shot, btw.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by mine. Can you see the pix now?
ReplyDeleteBTW, that coffee drink looks scary :)
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of "Monster Java" energy drink. We have "Red Bull" here in Malaysia, and probably a few other brands :)
ReplyDeleteBut I usually don't take them because I'd prefer chocolate bars, LOL.
Hi Linda. That's a catchy name for an energy drink. I'm sure that can come handy for me.
ReplyDeleteYou have a very talented and creative daughter. Hope many doors of opportunities will open for her.
Thanks for the visit.
Hahaha you better quick throw these cans away...
ReplyDeleteAnd to think most people think java is only on the computer,... .lol. Great photo and have a happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteThose drinks are SO popular. I see the kids at the high school drinking them all the time, but I have never tried one either. Maybe I should!
ReplyDeletegreat photo. thanks for the comment you left on my blog!
ReplyDeleteYou crack me up Linda! The day I try an energy drink, will be the day that I dont want to see coming! lol...Thanks for visiting my twin rows tonight! I really appreciate your visits sweetie
ReplyDeleteHappy photo hunt.......
ReplyDeletethe cans look cool! ah, don't they just love to collect and collect? children! :)
ReplyDeleteJava Monsters. I love the design of the can. So cool! I would love to try one. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
Aren't energy drinks full of caffine to begin with? Yikes! Not sure I want my teen son seeing these. He's all for the Max drinks or whatever they are.. all I know is he talks your ear off after drinking them!
ReplyDeleteGreat pic and I have to say your daughters art work is just too cool!!
Hey, Linda! Well, I learned something today. Never heard of Java Monster. I don't think I want my kids to get started on it, either. Esp. Mattie-Boo. The kid has enough energy! :-)
ReplyDeleteI think i need one of these to give me boost to do the housechores....(yaaawwwnnnn...)
ReplyDeleteNice picture and at least the empty cans came useful.. ;)
Have a great weekend!
Pearl
they are sorta interesting cans
ReplyDeletegreat pic for this weeks hunt
Your daughter I must say is very talented and yes, she's right, these cans look cool.
ReplyDeleteNice pic. I don't think Java Monster is available here in the UK. I'll make up for it by drinking a gallon of coffee instead! Happy weekend
ReplyDeleteI've never had this brand but I've needed them a time or two. I like them! But I also like Starbuck's coffee beans. An extra jolt of caffeine is good at the onset of a vascular migraine - as long as you don't mix it with meds.
ReplyDeleteI'll keep my eyes open for these!
~~~Blessings~~~
LOL - what a decoration for the house!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend.
great blog u have here
ReplyDeleteNice pic of those cans! but I'll stick to coffee, lol!
ReplyDeleteThose cans look so fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit.
Linda, I've never tried one of them either, but I am a big coffee drinker, so it probably wouldn't even faze me! Thanks for stopping by Pollywog Creek...and have a great energized weekend! =)
ReplyDeleteThey are neat cans, but they will probably start getting in the way after a few days! :)
ReplyDeleteCool shot! The cans looks neat, but I wouldn't want to try any of those energy drinks. Some people have very bad reactions to those kinds of drinks - they aren't exactly healthy!
ReplyDeleteMy row photo.
I haven't heard of this energy drink; what a title!
ReplyDeleteOkay...Amanda has me curious. I guess I need to go out and buy one of these drinks to experience the energy which apparently comes from drinking them. Watch out world!!!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has a similar collection. Like you I won't go near the stuff. I hear it's like drinking a pot of coffee .. lol! :)
ReplyDeleteThe cans make a nice row...I bet the teens that drink those would have a hard time standing still in a row...:)
ReplyDeleteNice cans, Linda! (No, that wasn't "Drew" typing just now!) Seriously, nice picture. Now, YOU on "Monster" in the morning?!?!? All we can say is, thank goodness you work w/Paramedics & EMT's! It would, however be an improvement over your "Dead Man Walking" persona!
ReplyDeleteIt makes me jittery just to think of energy drinks, much less one with caffeine! I have found that taking pictures of some things helps me get rid of them -- maybe that will work for your daughter, too. :-)
ReplyDeleteThose cans really are quite artistic, I can imagine them printed onto a snowboard or skateboard. I don't blame your daughter for liking them!
ReplyDeletethey are great for the rush....but I kinda suffer from the downside...
ReplyDeleteI do like the design of those cans, cool row
ReplyDeleteok guess I'm a dork, thought you'd gone on vacation cause the contest stayed at the top.....
ReplyDeleteThe cans do look cool--perfect lineup for this week's theme.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of this energy drink. But then again-I usually just use coffee as my energy drink :)
Have a wonderful weekend and happy hunting.
Not only in a row but would have worked for FUNKY last week too!
ReplyDeleteCome see mine.
This post struck such a cord. I am so glad my kids are not teens anymore (but sad they are all grown): I don't have to deal with these things now. Like you, I have been wary of trying these new drinks, and they are everywhere.
ReplyDeleteMmm...I've never tried. But, I think I should! They look awesome.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of this stuff but i want it NOW!
ReplyDeleteenergy drinks are the only way i get thru long weekend shifts at work ;)
ReplyDeleteVery good picture!! Empty cans ina row. Cute! Happy Hunting!
ReplyDeleteGotta love that teen mentality! Great shot...
ReplyDeleteKim
I soo need to get me some of those!
