Creepy Tales Contest Contribution

Our local newspaper, The Norwich Bulletin, is holding its annual Creepy Tales & Artwork contest and I managed to talk Amanda into turning in an entry this year. I tried to get her to do it last year but wasn't successful; for some reason the lure of a $50 prize seems to hold more appeal to her this year!

I'm not sure when winners will be announced but all entries had to be in or postmarked by 5:00 today so one of the many things I had to do today before heading up to spend the weekend playing with Mags & Mo was to drop Amanda's drawing by The Bulletin Office. When I handed it to the receptionist she seemed to be very impressed - let's just hope the judges are, too!

For those having some trouble making out what this drawing is supposed to be, that would be the hand of Renquist, one of the more famous vampires, coming out of the ground at his gravesite. I'm not sure if the scanned version does it justice but I thought it was pretty creepy myself. Then again, I am a little prejudiced, am I not??

  1. Good luck to Amanda. I'd say she's got a pretty good chance with that.

wWll it's definitely creepin' me out! *runs away screaming*

  3. Looks pretty darned good to me!
    Hope she wins!

  4. Good luck to Amanda with here entry - it looks great!

  5. It's creepy, she should win. I also liked the cash ambulance, that is a unique programming idea!

  6. I don't know what Amanda's competition has submitted but, in my book, she wins hands down. That's one of the creepiest pieces of artwork I've ever seen and it certainly deserves that $50 prize!

  7. It also reminded me of a very spooky Inner Sanctum called "The Hand" a severed body part that went around strangling it's deceased owners enemies.

  8. Yup, that's pretty creepy. Good luck to amanda!

    creepy indeed!

    Best of luck to Amanda.
