The Latest Blog Buzz

I got an email from a blogging buddy recently telling me about a new site that can bring traffic to your blog that's called Buzzfuse. I'm not really too concerned about my traffic ratings as I guess that all things considered I guess I do okay with just about 200 page views per day. I can't really complain but ...

... the thought occurred to me that maybe a site like this would help Amanda's artwork get more exposure? I figured that couldn't hurt and might actually help in the long run so I went over to check it out and signed up. It's a pretty simple process as you register, fill out some basic info, and then you can invite contacts to join your circle of friends.

They've got a rating system in place so that when you join you can view the content that’s been added and rate it. When you see a post or other content that you like you just click on it and the link takes you directly to the place the content appears. So, if you add one of your favorite posts to Buzzfest when people click on it, they get taken directly to your blog which then increases your traffic.

Adding a post or other item like a picture or video or what-have you is easy, too, because there's a small widget that you install on the post that when other people click on gives them the opportunity to rate it as well as add you as a favorite and be informed of more additions by that person. Pretty simple, pretty easy, and pretty good for getting more buzz for your talents!

  1. If I remember correctly (and it's very possible that I don't) doesn't Amanda have a CafePress site for her artwork? If she does, would you mind sending me an e-mail and giving me your and her opinion of how it is working for her? If I'm remembering wrong, then send me an e-mail and tell me I'm an idiot LOL I'm considering trying to sell my photography with CafePress - and I'd like to donate a portion of each sale to Jamie's fund - but, I don't want to waste my time if it really doesn't work.

  2. I was shown this as well, but was not quite sure what to make of it.
