Ivanhoe's real name is Ivana and she was born in Prague in the Czech Republic. She is now a resident of Ohio having lived in the United States for eleven years and just became a citizen last year (congratulations!). She's getting married next month while taking her first cruise ever on the Carnival ship Valor (lucky girl to have both love and a cruise!) and she absolutely loves dogs so I really ought to get her hooked up with Misty Dawn of My Dogs Keep Me Sane who is also a major league dog lover - if she hasn't discovered her already! If you haven't had the pleasure to meet Ivanhoe yet, pop on by her blog and be sure to tell her I sent you!
This lovely little award that she gave me is the "You Light Up My Life" award that was designed by The Teach from Work of the Poet. In designing this award, The Teach said,
"Now I will NOT subject you to the song by Debbie Boone that she sang in 1978. But I will quote from Rabbi Michael Strassfeld in order to describe the people I think deserve this award:What a great concept to design an award around! Very nicely done, Teach, and thank you, Ivana, for passing this along to me - it certainly brightened up my day!
"Light gives of itself freely, filling all available space. It does not seek anything in return; it asks not whether you are friend or foe. It gives of itself and is not thereby diminished."
What a great award! Congratulations. You certainly deserve it.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. Teach is wonderful. I got a lightbulb as well, and while I didn't sic Debbie Boone on anyone, I did do a song by the same musician.
ReplyDeleteYou definitely deserve that one Linda - you light up a lot of lives! :)
ReplyDeleteYOU light up MY life!
ReplyDeleteOh my, thank you very much for all that attention.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome - it's very well deserved award.
And I will be checking out Misty Dawn in a second.
