A Rude Awakening

It's the first day of March and I was woken up by the sound of snowplows out in front of the house this morning around 5:30. For those who live in the West and have never had the pleasure of listening to a snowplow passing by in front of your house please trust me - they make more noise than a New York Moving Company complete with six cursing musclemen! Yeah, that probably doesn't make much sense, does it? Sounded good, though when I first thought about it!

Anyhow, I don't know about anyone else out there but I am sick and tired of the cold and snowy weather of this winter. Granted, it probably hasn't been as bad as it has been in past years but I'm not really concerned about past years because I'm living in the here and now of this year and this year winter just seems to be going on forever!

I am so ready for Spring to arrive with daffodils and birds chirping and trees budding and some warm sunshine. Granted, the evenings have been lasting a little longer before we go to pitch black and the mornings haven't been quite as dark (though that will change when we "spring back" next Saturday into Sunday) so that's a start but enough with the snow already!!

Yep, mornings like this are when I have to ask myself again why it is I live in New England??

  3. Don't worry. Spring really is on time and one morning you'll wake up to sweet birdsong and bright blue sky.
