I've decided to once again give Roger's Creative Photography Contest another go this week as I'm nothing if not stubborn! Well, no, that's not exactly the reason - though it does play into things a bit! I really enjoy Roger's weekly contest as it gives me a great chance to check out photography by other bloggers who participate in the contest - like last week's contest winner, Bond, from The Big Leather Couch, who submitted this great photo of fireworks that he took. I've been trying to get some decent fireworks shots but haven't had much success at all but Bond took a beautiful shot and definitely deserved to capture last week's win!
I was up in the air for what I wanted to submit for this week's entry but then it dawned on me that I had taken some rather interesting shots while I actually was up in the air on my trip to California this past May and that perhaps one of those might be usable.
I've chosen this shot that was taken from the window of my Frontier Airlines flight from Denver, Colorado to Sacramento, California; I believe we were somewhere over Utah at the time. I was sitting by the bulkhead for this leg of the trip so this picture is looking back towards the engine and catches just the tip of the wing of the plane. Even though I'm not too keen on flying, I do love the view of the earth from 36,000 feet!
Good luck to everyone who participates in this week's contest! If you'd like to view more of the contest entries then be sure to click on over to Roger's Creative Photography Contest blog and check out the linkies!
