Hmm, here it is the middle of April and I am writing this post from beneath two afghans and a fleece blanket whilst wearing a long-sleeved t-shirt and hoodie ... and I'm still cold!! What is wrong with this picture?? Rumor has it that it will get up to 70 degrees today but I don't know ... I hate to get my hopes up or wear a short-sleeved shirt as, so far, Spring has been a major disappointment here in Connecticut.
Case in point - my entry for this week's edition of
Tisha's Looking at the Sky on Friday meme ...

This shot was recently taken on the Chelsea Parade which is now within walking distance of my humble abode and, believe it or not, it was taken at about 3:30 in the afternoon. A rather cold and dreary 3:30 in the afternoon I might add!
Ah well, here's hoping I can take the same shot sometime soon when the sun is shining, the sky is a beautiful blue, and the trees have leaves. While I'm waiting for that to happen, be sure to go check out the other entries in this week's meme - I bet you find some sunny skies there!
Spring has been a disappointment so far. Better days are coming, I hope!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo of these clouds. What is the Chelsea Parade?
we're having cold rainy, snowy April in Denver, too. the clouds are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love clouds and only wish we had more of them here in SoCal. Today it's supposed to be in the 80's and creeping up to the 90's by the weekend. Sigh...
ReplyDeleteAnother great one. Great job, Linda!
ReplyDeleteMarvelous sky photo ... quite dramatic! Hope things warm up for you soon. I'm still hoping for some rain here in Southern California.
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
you said outr skies were similar! and you were right
ReplyDeletewhat's even more cool is that my shot was taken around 3 also - I remember because there were kids walking home from school
we were looking at the same sky - miles apart
just like in a movie ;)
Spring may be a disappointment, but that photo certainly is not! WOW! Excellent silhouette of the steeple!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for warmer days, my friend!
Beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteDown at the bottom you get a little surprise peek at some pretty turquoise sky - I love that. Spring is trying to "cross over!"
ReplyDeleteSpring weather is weird: We had a frost warning three nights ago and it's supposed to top 95+ for Monday! We don't get much warning. You know how Carl Sandburg (I think) wrote about fog creeping in on little cat feet? Well we get stomped on by lions. I HATE IT.
Ugh...
Wishing for warmer photog weather for you!
~~~Blessings~~~
The sky really looks sad but I'll probably the only person to see it like that and still feel happy but a little sleepy LOL!
ReplyDeleteWe're actually going to have a real spring weekend. I'm more than ready!
ReplyDeleteWet & cool can describe our Spring so far this year. I'll be glad when it's dry and warm...
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along, Linda! :)
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
