We Interrupt Our Regularly Scheduled Post to Bring You .. A Whole Lot of Nothing!

See that guy over there on the left? The one who is so tired that he has no trouble sleeping in a rather uncomfortable position at the airport? Yeah ... him! He was so out of it, he never even knew I took his picture!

However, that's about how I felt last night which is why this isn't the post that I was going to originally do today. That post is just going to have to wait another day or two until I can get myself readjusted to being back at work and all that goes along with it.

I'm going to try real hard not to assume this particular position in my dispatch chair over the course of the next 16 hours but I get the feeling it's going to be one very long and very tiring day, especially considering that I was so busy on my day off on Tuesday getting my eyes dilated and then trying to drive over to meet Rhonda for lunch and afterward taking Amanda in to the oral surgeon to make arrangements for a couple of her wisdom teeth to come out. Plus there was laundry and a few other things in between and then catching up on everyone else's blogs. I tell ya, a girl can only do so much in one day!

Ah well, enough whining ... those who can - go take a nap and those who can't - welcome to my world!

  1. Many's the time I wished I could sleep at an airport or in a plane like that! Never happens.

    Hold on tight, honey! There's a day off coming somewhere!

  2. Having to drive after my eyes were dilated! I hate when that happens.

  3. Love this. I am always afraid to fall asleep in an airport or plane. I have this weird moaning thing that goes on when I sleep. And another god help my jaw not to drop open and be a fly catcher. My goodness... some of the ways people can sleep totally cracks me up... I would be sore after that position... Don't they realize their head weighs alot, it's not suppose to hang out in the limbo like that.. Good Greif.. Good pic and Good post Linda!!!!

  4. That looks a lot like I do every evening after supper when I plop my fat fanny down in the recliner and get my heating pad positioned just so against my back. Within mere minutes, I am then happily off to dream land. Wish I could fall asleep (and sleep that soundly then too) once I actually land in my bed!
    Peace.

  5. I though this was a stock photo - but very cool that you took it!
    Yeah, I'm always afraid to fall asleep in public like that too - because of the weird sounds I make. On the way back from England, though, I was like "screw it" and slept on the bus back from O'Hare - and yes, I know I was snoring! I didn't care!
    Hope your loooong day goes by quickly!

  9. Hahaha... if that were hubby there'd be folks standing around poking at him to wake up and stop snoring so loudly!

  14. Good shot of sleeping man... If someone told me I had to work a 16hr shift, I'd croak. Just the thought of it makes me weep...
    Funny, but we always need a vacation after a vacation.
    I can't take naps in the car or on an airplane. Hubman can sleep anywhere - anytime. And yes, he snores like crazy...
    Just keep up with your vitamins and hang in there...
    ~~~Blessings~~~
