A Brief Glimpse of Rhode Island

The sun actually managed to come out for awhile yesterday and there were blue skies - at least in Rhode Island if not Connecticut! Following a visit with my grandson for his fourth birthday, the girls and I went for a ride up the Rhode Island coast and made a stop in Narragansett at the seawall.

More pictures* later but for now, I really need to get out and mow the lawn before going back into work this afternoon after my short 'medical leave'. I guess all good things must come to an end, eh?

  1. well now, rhode island, small=brief, nice photos linda

  2. The photos and scenery are quite lovely! Correct me if I'm wrong, but should you be mowing so soon after surgery, my dear?

  3. Don't pull anything mowing the lawn, Linda!
RI seems quite lovely. Anything with ocean & beaches is lovely to me :o)

  4. I don't have to mow the lawn anymore since MWM retired. :)

Love the photos of the girls. :)

  5. Love the photographs. How fun.

I do have a question...Why are you mowing the lawn? Why aren't one of the girls doing this? You shouldn't be doing this type of thing for a bit. Just my opinion.

Have a terrific day. Big hug. :)

  6. As for the lawn ... I really rather enjoy mowing the lawn all things considered and even though the one of the girls could be doing it, I much prefer to do it myself. I put down new grass seed not too long ago and one has to be careful with it plus the little bit of exercise it gives me is good for me.

However, that said - I will give the girls mowing lessons this summer - promise!

  7. Blogger just ate my comment.

I SAID.....Beautiful photos. We're looking forward to more outings with you and the girls. They are lucky to have you!

(P.S. Don't mow the lawn. You're sick right now.)
    So sayeth the Queen.

  8. Look forward to more RI pics Linda.

  9. The girls are really looking lovely though Amanda may need to exercise her smile muscles a bit.

  10. Hope you didn't overdo with that mowing. Yikes. Be careful, Linda.

Nice pix of Amanda and Jamie. Interesting that you didn't post one of them together.

Those clouds over the water are pretty. Nice photo, as always!

  11. that building in the background is cool.

you're mowing the lawn? with 2 teenagers in the house and you just had surgery??

  12. Sounds like you're well recovered!

  13. I like mowing too, but alas, my hands no longer fit the handle of any lawn mower. I guess I'll just have to leave it to the service Mrs. Rambler found.

Nice job on the portraits of the girls, by the way. Pictures with people in them are not my strong suit, so I always admire a job well done.

Thanks for visiting!
