My Dad has always said that a weed is only a weed of you don't want it there! Personally, I've always loved Dandelions and I am still amazed at their overnight transformation into those soft, white, globular seed heads that the wind carries far and wide! How many times did my Dad tell me to make a wish on one of those? Countless!
Wow, I love these pictures! Also, I just came across your blog and I LOVE it!! It is entertaining and engaging. Thank you so much for sharing your life!
I love all of the comments about they're only weeds if you don't want them... I don't think I've ever heard that before but it sure is true. These are wonderful pics of an "ordinary" weed! ~~~Blessings~~~

ReplyDeleteThey are only weeds if you don't like them. That's my philosophy anyway.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day Linda. Big hug. :)
I love the montage, Linda! Beautiful shots. Dandelion greens are delicious in a salad or sauteed with mushrooms. :)

Ah, weeds in disguise!
ReplyDeleteNot only are they pretty, but they are an excellent diuretic and can help clear up urinary tract infections. The tea is very bitter though.
ReplyDeleteI love dandelions.
ReplyDeleteI had a botany professor my senior year who defined weeds as any plant that you "don't want there".
So....my dandelions aren't weeds.
:-)
