Fooling Around With Photographs

Scary Skies Over Norwich, originally uploaded by mouseski58.

Even though I knew that I was going to be working double shifts for the next two days and had a ton of stuff to do yesterday in preparation for my trip to New Hampshire and Maine on Tuesday, I kind of got distracted while editing pictures on Picnik when I noticed that they had their new Halloween effects up and running.

Sure I needed to clean the house and I needed to pack and I needed to try to get some posts put together to automatically publish while I was gone and I needed to try to finish editing pictures for Old Home Day for the Canterbury Historical Society and I needed to do laundry and I needed ... to play with these new effects!

So guess what you'll mostly be getting for pre-scheduled posts while I'm out traipsing around New Hampshire and Maine in seach of foliage? If you guessed photos that have been fooled around with to reflect the Halloween season then you're absolutely right!

Somehow I think my Halloween-loving oldest daughter would be proud of me!

  4. I used this very same texture yesterday, but layered it with another texture to create the Halloween post for the cat's blog! It's currently my desktop wallpaper! I hope they add textures as a regular feature and not just for Halloween.

Get that laundry done and toss everything in the suitcase and get a move on!

    Big hugs :]

  6. I like the first photo. It almost looks like you're seeing the whole thing from a haunted house, but the foreground is INSIDE...

  8. Well I see you have your priorities right! hehe Having fun with editing pictures is wayyyy better than anything else, especially if using Picnik's Halloween effects!! I was checking it out the other day but haven't had time to play with it.

Have a fun time on your trip and can't wait to see what pictures you'll be posting while you're away, as well as the pictures you'll be taking while away:-) xoxo

  9. That is such a neat effect! I'm going to have to try with play with it myself. :)

Are you from Canterbury? I'm from the Concord area! How's the foliage up New Hampshire way right now? Still a bit early for peak I imagine but I bet it's still pretty nice up north.

    Have a great trip!

(I like the pumpkins at the top of your page, by the way. They're very, uh, orange. LOL! )

  11. Playing is far more fun than doing chores! Neat photo. I know you'll leave plenty more to entertain us while you are 'on holiday.' Safe travels.

    Big hugs, honey...
