Five on Friday - The "Sun" Version

Being that it's that time of the year when we here in New England and other frozen states really start to crave any sort of showing of the sun, I thought it might be nice to do this week's Five on Friday using songs revolving around the sun. Get it, revolving around the ... oh never mind!    Hope you enjoy this week's set and if you'd like to find more music to listen to on this mid-February Friday then be sure to visit Trav's Thoughts and check out the other participants in his fun Five on Friday meme.

  1. Well, I know 2 of them! Speaking of which, any special requests for the car ride? I have a 6 disc CD-changer in the trunk.

    Enjoy your long weekend!

  2. When you left your comment on my blog about the sun songs, I was HOPING Here Comes The Sun would be on there! I simply adore that song. It couldn't be more perfect for a sunny set!

I taught dance several years (and pounds) ago. A student did a solo to Soak up the Sun and now, everytime I hear it, I picture a dancing lifeguard :)

I hope you have a great weekend!

  3. Wonderful. Two major favorites with Here Comes the Sun and Don't let the Sun Go Down On Me. Hope you didn't get sunburned.

  6. I just KNEW Sheryl would be on the list. Love that song...and the Elton John one. No sun here today. Just rain, but that's OK. Tomorrow is another day.

16 days to PLENTY of sun! Big hugs, honey.

  8. "Here Comes The Sun" was the first one I thought of when I read your picks would be about the sun:-) You chose all great songs!! We had sunshine for the first half of the day but then it turned cloudy and we even had some snow flurries in the late afternoon. It's 3F...a heat wave! lol xoxo

  10. Linda - I listened to your set on Friday as I worked overtime at my office, scanning documents. I then had an extreme acupuncture session on Saturday morning which has wiped me out entirely all weekend. But all to the good.

Anyhoo, just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed your set as I toiled away Friday night. Invisible Sun gets the big thumbs up from me this week.
