Five on Friday - The Working Version

Okay ... so it's rather late in the day but it's still Friday and now that Blogger is back up and running after apparently having some sort of meltdown last night I can still get my Five on Friday set posted for this week - whew!  The incentive for this week's theme is based on the fact that I'm sitting in a lovely Victorian Bed & Breakfast in the small town of Chester, Vermont rather than my usual spot in the dining room at home as Jamie and I are participating in what I believe is the annual "Work Weekend" at the Inn Victoria.  In exchange for painting and planting and cleaning and such we're getting free lodging and board for the weekend.  A darned good deal I think!

So yep, we're "working for the weekend" but so far it's been a lot of fun and I bet it continues to be!  So, enjoy the music, stop by Trav's Thoughts to hear some more great music from other FoFers, and then go enjoy your weekend whether you're working or not!

  1. It only took blogger 20.5 hours to get their act together.
I enjoyed this set, thanks for sharing it.

  2. Wonderful song list, but maybe you should have thrown in a bonus of "Moonlight In Vermont". :-)

  3. Excellent choices! And that sounds like a pretty good way to spend a weekend.

  4. Sounds like fun. Sadly, I'll also be working the weekend (but not for three room and board). Oh well, after that is my "weekend" and I plan on spending it well.

  5. What a great barter system for your weekend, Linda! Hope you're having a blast.

Really enjoyed your set - especially Green Day. I like how they brought in a few bars from John Lennon at the end.

Thanks for visiting!
