It's been way too long since I've played along with Travis' Five on Friday as I just hadn't been inspired by any music that I wanted to share but this week as I was listening to some of Amanda's music on our drive up to Vermont, the thought struck me that one of her latest "finds" would be perfect for a Five on Friday post.
The group is called "The Baseballs" (as you might have gathered from my post title) which is a a 3-man German rock and roll band founded in Berlin in 2007 who transform modern songs into a 1950's rock’n’roll style or in the band’s own words: “We take good songs and lead them to their true destiny”.
No matter what you want to call it, their "twisted" songs are a lot of fun so I hope you'll enjoy this week's set as much as I enjoy listening to "The Baseballs" when they come up on Amanda's iPod in the car. Don't forget to go over to Trav's Thoughts and check out some additional Five on Friday tuneage!
happy birthday honey!

ReplyDeleteThey almost have a Jerry Lee Lewis quality with that driving piano and drum combo. I think I like them.
ReplyDeleteI love them! They remind me of Stray Cats.
