T'Was The Day After Christmas ...

Here's hoping everyone had a very Merry Christmas and that you found whatever your heart's desire was underneath - or very close! - to your Christmas tree.

Christmas Day was a pretty long one for Amanda and I with visits to my son's house, my mother's house, and then wrapping up the evening at the Annual Family Get-Together at my aunt's house. By the time 8:00 rolled around I was ready to crawl into bed for a long winter's nap and did just that shortly after getting home!

Today was spent doing a few little errands and then parking myself next to a roaring fire in the living room while enjoying the lights of the Christmas tree and various and assorted shows on the telly courtesy of BBC America.  All in all, a nice day after Christmas - how was yours?

  1. We spent a good part of this afternoon taking down all the Christmas decorations, both inside and out. It's raining now and we are forever grateful that we decided to remove Christmas 2009. I love putting it all up, but I like taking it down too. Now bring on spring so we can go boating.

Have a terrific day. Big hug. :)

  2. Ditto i like taking it down and i am ready forspring.

  3. Here's a nice little time travel bit for six minutes

  4. we braved the walmart to get groceries, it wasn't bad at all, i thought it would be awful!

    smiles, bee

  5. I braved the Mayberry WalMart also and piddled around the quiet house while Dick napped...

  6. Your Christmas sounds perfect!

Today we had lunch then our DIL came to pick us up and took us (MWM, my Dad and I) to their house for the afternoon/evening. Our youngest son, his partner and his two children arrived there also and we had a lovely time singing karaoke and playing with the children! :)

  7. I spent the morning with Hope. She opened presents, she loved the wrapping paper most of all LOL
we played, I read her a book

then I intended to send some e-mails and make some calls but I fell asleep instead

    your day sounds wonderful

  8. It sounds like you and Amanda had a lovely Christmas, Duchess Linda. Lots of good company and merriment.

We stayed home all day, except for my quick run to CVS for milk and soda. My mother and our good friend came over for a ham dinner and presents in the afternoon.

My big news is that I met Santa on Christmas Eve.
Yes, the real one. Come see. ;-)

  9. Our day after Christmas was spent doing what we normally do on Christmas Eve...going to Mom's house. We had so much rain leading up to Christmas Eve that the roads were flooded so we had to postpone it. :( I am glad that you guys had a nice Christmas.

Overall we had a great Christmas. I hope you have a beautiful new year!

Thanks for visiting!
