I came across a place where I'd like to live at the very end of Bearskin Neck on the tip of Cape Ann in Rockport ...
It doesn't look like much from the outside and I suspect that the neighborhood is none too peaceful - especially at the height of tourist season - but it's got a great view that I certainly wouldn't mind looking at year-round ...
Of course, I'm sure it costs an arm and a leg to live there and they require a year's lease and I've yet to win the lottery so that I can just go be a bum with a camera but I've pretty much fallen in love with Rockport and it's charm and views ...
But mostly I've fallen in love with the sky and the water and the light that just takes my breath away at its sheer beauty ...
Funny, I always thought that I was more of a "mountain" person than an "ocean" person but I do believe that I am rapidly changing my mind on that one. Must be the old New Englander in me!
Ah well, a girl's gotta dream, right?
Ah well, a girl's gotta dream, right?
Oh, that's right at the end... love that place! I'd love to live there! Except I'd have nowhere to park my car! The light you capture in this particular Motif #1 is stunning!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe we could go in together? Of course, it IS tiny, but I lived in less than 400 square feet for 14 years and loved it. In fact, I miss it terribly!
Gorgeous! I love the one with the red building behind the boats. Absolutely stunning. I can see why you love it so. I have always been a water person myself, but having just spent a week at the beach, I am thinking more specically an OCEAN person is what I am.
ReplyDeleteThere's just something about it that renews the soul. That looks like a great little place to rent so you can have your photo studio downstairs, live upstairs!!! Could be a business expense write off! lol.
oh that is a pretty place!!
ReplyDeleteI love all the rocks against the shore
and the light is lovely

It's good to dream Linda. Keep buying a lottery ticket honey, someone has to win and you have to be in it to win it. x
ReplyDeleteIt might not be as far of a grasp as you think! Instead of just being a "mountain" or "ocean" person, how about being a landscape person!?
ReplyDeleteWOW! I can definitely understand your admiration for this place as it is enticing to me too! Now, if only I could win the lottery and then, be able to afford to buy something like that -or at least buy a lovely Winnebago RV to go tooling all around the country in it to see these lovely places! Keep traveling and keep snapping those pictures of your travels too! Love 'em!
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty indeed. I'm a water and boat person. Period. Great shots Linda.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day. :)
Time to move up north :) I'd love all that water!
ReplyDeleteHugs from Ohio,
I.
Your photography skills just keep getting better and better.
ReplyDeleteI do so enjoy your pictures and travels.

ReplyDeleteyou sure do give good comment ;)
I love the notion of a life of Murphy's Law
it's awful but so hilarious
Having lived on the ocean for ten years, let me assure you it's not all it's cracked up to be. In the summer, the tourists are loud, rude, pee in your yard and leave dirty diapers on the beach (all true.) In the winter, there's not much to do except go to the bar, or go to church and talk about the people in the bar. Guess which one I opted for (hic!)? Plus, you have to work all summer in a tourist destination that you never have time to enjoy. Does any of this make you feel better? No? I give up then!
ReplyDeleteIncredibly beautiful. Start packing!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs, honey...
Beautiful photos ~ Motif #1 is stunning as ever.
ReplyDeleteAre you going to leave Connecticut?
