As much as I am thankful for the job that I have and know that it requires someone to be there at all times due to the fact that 911 never takes a holiday, I still rather hate missing all of the family get-togethers all of the time. A gal can only be so noble!
So, while I'm off stuffing my face with all the goodies that everyone else had yesterday (and that I was fortunate enough to also have a bit of thanks to a good friend who apparently thought she was Martha Stewart this year!), I hope that you have a great Friday either working off the calories you consumed fighting with the crowds at the stores or just relaxing on the couch and enjoying the start of the holiday season.
I actually enjoy Friday better as we can microwave leftovers. And have the pie we were too full to eat yesterday!
ReplyDeleteI have to share with you one of my sister's stories. One of her 10 year olds came into the bathroom where my sister was bathing her bishon and he handed her the phone. She asked him who it was and he answered "911". Yup. He was bored. He wanted to see if 911 was really a number. He had a little refresher course in phone etiquette and the important role 911 plays in many lives. His father is a cop (who also works 16 hour shifts!) so it's not as though they don't understand emergencies and emergency responders. Oh. And he's on phone restriction.
Enjoy your day! Big Hugs ♥xo
I hope you have a wonderful family Thanksgiving today, Duchess Linda.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't cook yesterday, we went to Ralph's sister's house. We are having Thanksgiving dinner at home tomorrow. A friend is buying the whole meal for us.
Very little work involved! Lots of warming up.

Happy Thanksgiving! It's been too long since I popped in and I love the new look. Hope you had a lovely day and I'm thankful for having you as a blog buddy!
ReplyDeleteMy Thursday was stuffed with stuffing and my Friday was filled with, well...nothing really. I didn't do any shopping. Don't have the inclination (or the $$$ really).
