Veterans' Day 2009

"This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave." ~ Elmer Davis

Thank you to the brave men and women of America's Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard who have served or who are serving so that we may continue to be free.

  2. Our flags are more than just a piece of fabric...

They keep our fallen warm on their journey home.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
    We will remember them.

    Lest we forget.

My eternal thanks to the members of the Armed Forces of every Nation fighting for freedom and liberty. My eternal heartfelt gratitude for those who gave all...

  6. Here here. Patti and I went to Derby for their remembrance today, and the WWII and Korean vets are getting smaller and smaller in number, and they haven't forgotten - and nor have we!

  10. I thank them as well. I attended two veterans' events today, and wish I could have attended two others, but there was a scheduling conflict.
