Grimbleschnitz ...

If you're not familiar with the word that I used for the title of today's post that's probably because it's a word that was made up by my blog buddy Morgen awhile back; a word that I have totally embraced since its inception.  I believe that it most likely means that one's mood is something less than stellar due to one's current life circumstances or I guess it can also be the equivalent of being grumbly - which I most definitely am for some unknown reason.

As such, I am going to take a short break from the Blogosphere until I can improve my mood a little bit.  That may require copious amounts of mindless TV watching, Bejeweled 2 on the XBox, perhaps a nice walk somewhere, and maybe a couple of extra naps - none of which are going to require my being online past the time I post this and turn the computer off.

While I'm off embracing my inner grinch, please talk amongst yourselves and play nice - or at least try to!

  1. We are all entitled to a break. Especially after your work schedule the other day. I see you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family :)

PS Pie turned out awesome, Thankyou!

  2. I love that word, Linda! It's good to take a break from the computer now and then. It can be fun but too much of anything is, well, too much. :) I hope you can find restoration in your other activities, though I doubt mindless TV watching will help much. lol Looking forward to your return!

  6. Now there's a word I think I can -probably should -embrace! Sometimes, and my kids will attest to this, I do end up doing way too much grumping and grumbling and need a break from whatever it is that's causing the issue. Or perhaps in my case, I just need to work more than a bit more on cultivating a better overall attitude.
Go rest, relax and come back refreshed! I might just decide to join you too.

  7. Since you won't be reading this...
I hope it doesn't take you as long to clear your blogging self as it is taking me. I feel as tho I may turn the corner soon. But I hate being here at this time of year.

  12. When one has the grumblies tis best not to share as you may regret it later. Hope everything improves and that you are soon back to your normally cheerful self.

  18. Linda...I can completely relate! My plate is so full that I can't seem to find time to keep it even half emptied anymore. I have all but thrown up my hands! I opened my reader tonight because it's been ages since I had. There were 1000+ posts there. *sigh*

It seems like Facebook has taken over my "spare" time. Blogging has gotten pushed to the back burner. It's become mostly a chore. I've got to get back in the mode...

Enjoy some time, my dear. YOU deserve it!!!
