I've Got a Question, You've Got an Answer

********************
The days are getting shorter and the nights are getting longer; the leaves on the trees are beginning to turn; and mums are popping up all over the place. No doubt about it - summer is coming to and end while autumn waits patiently in the wings ready to burst forth with all of its glorious colors, scents, and traditions.

And that brings me to this week's question -

Are you glad to see summer end?

I don't normally answer my own question but with this one I've got to say a hearty heck yeah!!! bring on the pumpkins, the apples, and the crisp air!! Now it's your turn!

  3. Stupid tourist? They bring lots of money...

No, I'm not glad that summer is over. I love Christmas but could easily do that in 90° temperatures. :Sigh:

  4. Oh, god, no. I hate that it's ending. I love fall, but I miss the relaxed, easy way people have in the summer. I find that people in my neighborhood hang outside more and are more friendly and open during the warmer months.

  5. I look forward to the temperature and humidity reduction when fall arrives, but due feel a bit rueful when the season does change...

  6. Truly I am. Most of the time I love summer, but by golly this one's been SO hot and dry. We got some rain yesterday and Tuesday. It was much needed for certain.

  7. While I absolutely HATE the 100 plus degree days and 80 degree nights, fall makes me so sad!!! I love the cooler temperatures but I usually have a bout of depression when the shadows start falling earlier and the days shorten. Once winter gets here, I'm okay...it's just fall (and I'm a blue/green person, not orange/gold).

  10. I'm VERY sorry to see summer end. No more camping trips, hikes, vacations, ice cream & mini-golf, hanging out on your front steps w/a drink in hand, looking up @ the beautiful stars through your telescope w/o worrying about freezing your eye to the lens, nor any of the other fun things that make summer so great. I fear the usual depression that stems from nothing left to look forward to. Fall may bring apples, pumpkins, and crisp air, but it makes this bulldog go back into the doghouse!

  11. Well, you know...it got away from me somehow. I really enjoyed the beach this year and wish I had more time to go, but...

I love fall so much and I'm excited that I am not in school this season so I can actually enjoy it!!!!!!

  12. In all honesty, I can't say that I really like one season better than another - remind me of that come the dead of winter when I will no doubt be bitching up a storm about freezing to death and coping with ice and snow. However, aside from Mother Nature's changing seasons, I consider myself to be in the "Autumn" of my life and in that context, I love autumn! Once my first column runs, I will post the piece I wrote for it and you'll see what I mean there.

  13. I will NOT miss the heat one bit.. and I have to say that I love fall thunderstorms.. the "transition" seasons are my favorites anyway. Plus, HALLOWEEN! I gotta start thinking about my costume this year!
